Through many years I have made Solstice greetings for family and friends - each year in December.
The dark time of the year passes easier, when I convince myself, that the SUN COMES BACK, and we always celebrate Winter Solstice on December the 21.st. - the shortest day of the year.
The Sun wheel therefore is an importent symbol for me, and (even if it cannot be proved) I am convinced, that the Northern word Jul (= Christmas) - comes from the word "hjul" (= wheel) - and means the celebration of the turning point of the year.
But anyway. What ever you celebrate at this time of the year, it is good to know, that the sun will come back....
So this Solstice greeting is
just one of many in a row, but it is the first published at Betula Press.
